I appointee owner reaching out to me about my previous review. I have since gone back and had positive experiences at Livoti's.. I haven't seen other owners show this level of concern.

Went in for some fresh Jersey corn and came out with a little more. I asked if they had sopprasata and when he said yes I was down for the provolone and crusty Italian bread for my sandwich. He threw in some roasted peppers and some oil and vinegar I was set. Delish!!!! Picked up some Black and White minus that had perfect ration of icing to cookie. Nice moist cake on bottom. Another patron talked me into getting a very crusty Italian loaf. Perfect for dipping in olive oil, Parmesan and a little garlic. Looks and tastes great.

Omg! The fresh mozzarella is Fantastic. Rich, perfectly salted and the taste unbelievable! Paired with the Parma prosciutto from the deli sliced thin. Finished with EVOO Olive oil. What can i say better than the best Italian restaurant in the area. Must Try!

I hate to say it, but I think the Livoti honeymoon is over. Since my original visit spurred a mostly positive, enthusiastic review--our weekly visits have resulted in some discouraging developments. i.e.: Brought some smelly fish back and met with a kind of frosty manager cooperation. Deli meat sliced either too thin or too thick and everything in between. Threw some of the prepared food away due to dried out and tasteless. Some favorites seem to have taken a price hike. We are hanging in though, even if it's just for the bread. In all fairness, my sense is it looks like the Freehold store has a huge turnover in store help--everytime we are there it seems there are different people behind the deli counter...maybe contributing to the quality fluctuations.
